The 2022 FIFA World Cup begins on Nov. 21 for the first-ever winter edition of the competition set for Qatar. The action runs through the final on Dec. 18, but action begins on Nov. 21. 64 matches in less than a month will face the 32 best teams in the world in the first World Cup in the Middle East

The participating countries have already set their way to the title at the World Cup in Qatar, which will be held from November 21 to December 18. Of the previous world champions, only Italy will be missing, eliminated in the playoff by North Macedonia. Of the favorites, the worst luck has been Brazil which will face Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon in the first phase.

The last to get the ticket to Qatar have been Australia, Wales and Costa Rica, which had to go through the repechage. Australia first beat the United Arab Emirates and then beat Peru on penalties. A venue with controversy

This World Cup has been involved in controversy, from the choice of the venue to the problems in the construction of the stadiums and the doubts about respect for human rights, especially those of LGBT people and women. In addition, it is the first World Cup to be played in the Middle East and in autumn due to the weather conditions of the region.
